Sherry Pepper Sauce
Sherry pepper sauce is a unique hot sauce found throughout the Atlantic islands, from Bermuda to Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean. Each island perfects its own style of sauce to complement their local seafood dishes.
Island Winery in Hilton Head, South Carolina has created a Low Country interpretation of this sauce by using oak-aged sherry and smoky peppers, resulting in a flavorful accompaniment to local dishes like shrimp and grits, crab cakes, warm crab dip, and all types of fish soups, chowders, and stews. This sauce also enhances the flavor of grain-based soups made from lentils, beans, or dried peas.
